Main applications of silanes:

  • Composite materials:
    Silanes improve the bond between the organic matrix (resin) and inorganic fillers (glass fiber, silica), increasing strength and durability.
  • Adhesives and sealants:
    Used as adhesion promoters to improve bonding to various surfaces such as metal, glass, and concrete.
  • Electronics:
    A source of ultra-pure silicon for microchips, as well as for chip encapsulation and cable insulation.

Principle of action:

Silanes have a dual structure: one part reacts with inorganic surfaces (minerals, glass), while the organic part is compatible with polymers, resins, and other organic materials, forming a strong bridge between them.
